This duology will always and forever make it on my favorites list. While telling a vastly different story from the one in If I Stay, Where She Went follows the same beautiful and heartfelt storytelling by the wonderful Gayle Forman. What I love the most about this duology is the reoccuring theme of opposites that gives this story the magnificent chemistry that it has from Mia being classical and Adam being emocore, the theme of life and death, and the narrative of past and present are just a few of the big examples. This book like If I Stay has the ability to make you giddy one minute and reaching for tissues the next. Such a fantastic novel.
I’m pretty sure I’ve had this book since I was 15. I read the first book but I just never got around to this one. I honestly wasn’t expecting to get much out of this book reading it now as an adult. To my surprise, I found this book to be so beautiful and moving. I’m so glad I finally read it.
i liked that they were reunited but i personally didnt like this one. maybe because it was more romance contemporary than the realistic fiction piece that was in the first book.
Great yet an ending a bit predictable.
Mia got on my nerves a couple of times.
Adam's great.
Long Live Shooting Star.

Jodidamente bueno. Me encanta la manera en la que se van dando los hechos, y cuando pensas que todo se va a la basura termina de una manera increíble. Ágil de leer, concreto, sin vueltas. Gran final de esta secuela.

I was really excited to read this book after finishing If I Stay. It definitely didn't let me down at all. I loved that the story came from Adam's point of view and seemed so raw and real. I felt like I could be reading someone's real life story. I also think the author did an amazing job in writing the scenes where they were reconnecting after being apart for 3 years. It had the perfect amount of awkwardness and yet yearning to just say what needed to be said. The tension was very real. I also loved how she included the songs that Adam had written for Shooting Star. I think it added to the depth of the story and really showed Adam's pain. It really is a captivating novel filled with real emotion that will hold you in it's pages.
