Ugh the story was going well at the beginning but then the heroine started behaving like a child. I mean I get she is 16 as she says but there are hints that she might be 2-3 yrs older, but still she behaves like a 2 yr old child. This story is about kitten who is a homeless girl and has been surviving all her life until she meets a group of dudes who takes her to their house and protects her when they see her bruised and beaten and later we learn that the guys are wolves. I liked their relationship, it was cute but IDK how 7 grown ass dude kept up with a 16-19 yr old girl who behaves like a child. Seriously she is so annoying, ugh and her relationship with Jace seemed so force. He didnt like her at first but then later on when he did start liking her, it felt like he had to love her Cuz his other pack members does. Ugh, my head hurts Cuz the heroine is so annoying and dumb. I get it she has been through a lot but compared to her struggles she is really immature and stupid.
While I liked the book and the idea of the story.... I do find a few issues. First, I will agree with others: it's similar to C. L. Stones books, at least in regards to the reverse harem. However that is where the similarities end. This author seems to still be polishing her writing and writing style. I look forward to watching her grow as an author.
Now to the downsides. I feel the story was rushed. Very rushed. And -if- the story took place over a period of time that was longer than a week...then there was no concept of time to show this. Literally, all events happened in a matter of days. There was little to no time spent getting to know the males. There was no in depth character and relationship building. This book could have been a fountain of information on the characters, but was just a scratch on their surfaces. Which was actually a disappointment.
Next, we have an issue with the actual storyline. I'm assuming this question will be brought to light in the next book, but I really felt it either should have been hidden away entirely until the next book OR fully disclosed. Instead it was hinted around to the point of confusion....she's the lost daughter of a prominent pure bloodline wolf pack but...she's not transformed even though its hinted at her already reaching her majority. It was a mess, the whole thing. I really feel this is something that should have been hidden and used later.
So there we go. I give props for the idea and the quick read, however it could have been executed better. I will read the next book to see if it's put together better and I do hope the author continues to write and grow. Lots of potential here.

Finding My Pack – Lane Whitt – I absolutely did not want this to end, but I just figured out its a series with the same characters! I'm stoked! Made a really tough day so much better because I inhaled this one! Its steamy and complicated, but I'm in love. I'm on a shifter kick, and this is the best one I've read this year! Happy Reading!!
Kitten has been homeless her whole life. She's used to a harsh reality, and fending for herself. But after being attacked one night, and found by two guys things change for her.
She's taken to a very nice house with eight guys living there. Things seem plenty strange to Kitten, but she's never really known what normal was anyways.
However, as her feelings grow stronger for each of these guys, and they learn more about her secrets come out and their whole world is soon turned upside down.
I thoroughly enjoyed this reverse harem read! It has a really strong heroine, and 8 great alpha males! Plus it also has some paranormal aspects to is as well.
This story sucked me in from he beginning and didn't let me go till the bitter cliffhanger ending. Now, I'm super excited to read the next one.
This story is just fascinating and you can't help but fall in love with all of the characters.

A book romanticizing rape. She's a child. This is disgusting.
