Quando di un libro l'unico pregio che viene in mente è che sia breve, non è un buon segno.
Non solo non mi ha divertito mai (il che è già abbastanza grave in un libro umoristico), ma non sono nemmeno riuscita a trovare un pur minimo motivo di interesse. La storia è scontata, i personaggi macchiette bidimensionali e l'atmosfera non è abbastanza surreale da essere affascinante, né abbastanza realistica da essere plausibile; come se questo non fosse sufficiente, aggiungiamoci che è un romanzo profondamente imbevuto di cultura finlandese, quindi pieno di riferimenti che non sono riuscita a cogliere e con un umorismo molto lontano da me.
Si salva giusto lo stile, che per quanto piatto è perlomeno scorrevole.

Its a really nice book that teaches you a lesson about the true value of life and its all written in a dark and funny way. 4/5 *

2,5. Merkelig historie. Trakk på smilebåndet av og til, men mest av alt var den bare rar.
Lettore o lettrice, stai forse iniziando un nuovo capitolo di Se una notte d'inverno un viaggiatore? Ma no, questo è Piccoli suicidi tra amici, dell'autore finlandese Arto Paasilinna. Eppure l'ambiente ha qualcosa di familiare, i nomi sono particolari, le faccende sono un po' stravaganti, ma una grande, grande differenze c'è. Caro lettore e cara lettrice, avete finalmente un'opera completa, e soddisfacente per giunta!

A good and funny written book. Paasilinna makes a heavy subject light. It took me a while to get into the story, but I liked the second part a lot.

Libro molto bello, scoperto tramite Matteo Fumagalli. Concordo con lui che la parte migliore sia la prima metà del libro, anche se a mio parere, il finale, per quanto scontato, mi è piaciuto e mi è sembrato degno del libro.
