While this book was a bit slow, it was everything I hoped it would be.
I love the story of Merlin, Arthur, and the knights of the Round Table, and this was a great way to start this series and what it will be leading up to in future books.
Can't wait to continue on!

DNF about halfway.... I don't think I'm the target audience.

I have only a few things to say about this book... First of all, it dragged for ages, basically until it got to part three of the book
Second, it didn't exactly feel like a story of Merlin. Third, I didn't like Emrys as a character.
The ending was pretty solid, though, and interesting, and I might give the rest of the series a try. Maybe it was just a slow beginning.

Decent book. Felt like it dragged on a bit, but I liked it nonetheless.

Annoying characters, dumb plot holes, clumsy writing, “Hi my name is Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way and I have long ebony black hair (that's how I got my name) with purple streaks and red tips that reaches my mid-back and icy blue eyes like limpid tears and a lot of people tell me I look like Amy Lee”.

Unable to give as long of a review as I would like, but I liked this significantly more than most YA books I've read. Not perfect, but thoroughly enjoyable. Will certainly continue the series.

Andrew Luck (Indianapolis Colts Quarterback) started a book club and I have read most of the books he's picked (Children's and Adult). I just can't get into this one. I read 50 pages and am too bored to continue.

"Nothing is known, but we sail alone."

Young adult fantasy - not my cup of tea, but thought I would branch out and give it a try. Found Merlin annoying, but hoping this will change if I consider reading more in the series.
