I felt totally at the mercy of this book. What We Both Know is disturbing and grotesque in its mundanity and secrecy. The slow unravelling of the narrator felt very reminiscent of Charlotte Perkins Gilman's The Yellow Wallpaper. I couldn't stop reading and I couldn't look away.
Graphic: Animal death
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship, Sexual content, Dementia, Incest, and Suicide
Minor: Self harm
