I really enjoyed this book and its unique perspective on humanity. Hair’s writing is, as always, excellent. However, I had to stop the minute it became clear that the protagonist was going to
cheat on his wife. Maybe it would have been easier if he knew that the action would hurt his family, but the fact that he goes into it naively makes it worse.

I picked up this book for a light read and I was not wrong.

This is my first Matt Haig book so I didn't know what to expect.
This has a lovely simple story with a bit of humour. It is predictable but no regrets on reading this one.

It talks about how humans live/are in an alien's point of view which was believable, at least for me and how to see our world/people in a new way and how beautiful it is, how beautiful our lives are which we tend to ignore, not pay much attention to or sometimes forget.

This is honestly one of the best books I've read in awhile. I read most of it over a couple of plane rides, and I could barely put it down. It has just the right mix of humor, sci-fi, romance, and contemporary fiction, and has something for just about everyone. The characters are (mostly) likable, but also feel very real (even the alien narrator!). And there's a dog who you'll instantly fall in love with.

Overall, 4.75 for the slightly rushed ending, but phenomenal otherwise. A decent length read that makes you think about life and love, and what it means to be human.

Funny and sad. The pace was a bit too slow for me and there was some parts that I found boring but in general it was very enjoyable.
