What an absolutely fantastic issue , Greg Rucka is truly succeeding in bringing Wonder Woman's glory back to the title and with the jaw droppingly amazing art by Nicola scott , they have done this issue one of the biggest favour it could have ever recieved .

As with the title so far the odd numbered books detail events going on in the present where Diana is searching for her home, while the even numbered issues like this one detail the origin of Wonder Woman , so as we all know it by know this issue re-details the event that led to Diana leaving her home to step into the modern human world and be proclaimed Wonder Woman the greatest Female hero of em all .

As i said the issue barely stepped a single feet wrong , with the story and art both hitting your nerves with delight . Must read

Wonder Woman in Rebirth has yet to earn a special place in my heart. I blame my high expectations on Legend of Wonder Woman series.
Even though these origins are loyal to her roots, this Wonder Woman in Rebirth is pretty much devoid of personality, unable to make choices (does she even have thoughts of her own?), 100% conformist, 80% naive perhaps.
The way she immediately understands Steve's pain with no second thoughts or suspicions of her own, could even be considered altruistic...but a bit farfetched. There's not much depth in developing the characters either.
A bit disappointed overall, but Frank Cho's variant cover was beautiful.

This remains quite possibly the greatest book of DC Rebirth, among a slew of other amazing books. Rucka knows how to write Wonder Woman, and Nicola Scott's art is simply beautiful and perfectly suited for this Year One story.

Superlative. This is exactly the WW story I want to see. Like that rucks is trying to convince us of Steve and Diana now. Love the way he provides explanations for even the most essential parts of the WW mythos. Steve commenting on the plane suddenly being invisible killed me. Also, showing the origin of Diana being able to deflect bullets was totally harrowing and really wonderfully emphasized why the Amazons see the rest of the world as so threatening.

I picked this up as one of many Free Comic Book Day options at my local shop. Nice art, enjoyable single read. Got me really pumped for the movie in June!
