Glad to see where all the characters went. but the writing wasn't great. Yet still it was worth reading.

I can’t help but compare this to the prior two books. This one was my least favorite. It lacked the charm that I think came from the youth in the March family. That being said, it was lovely to fast forward in time to see the younger characters as they became adults.

Unlike the other books earlier in this series that were more of a story, this book felt like nothing more than a collection of preachy sermons about good morals and how to be a successful, well-rounded person made personal through characters we’d become attached to. Jo even says to some of the boys she is about to preach! Boring and dull.

I downloaded the complete Louisa May Alcott onto my kindle, I love Little Women and Good Wives, but I simply can't finish Jo's Boys. It is so preachy, I get halfway through every time and get exasperated.

Jo's Boys is the unofficial final book in the Little Women's series. Ten years have passed since Little Men and the boys at Plumfield have started to enter into manhood. Plumfield is now a college due to the generosity of Mr. Laurence. As each boy has his own path to take, he realizes how much Plumfield has down for him.

Better than LM but not as good as LW obviously. Dan is still my ❤️. I liked that we got more jo and Laurie in this one! And Bess and Josie grown up were so sweet. And I’m so proud of Nan y’all. She DID IT!! Kinda annoyed by Meg at some points tho. I feel like she should’ve been the first to defend a marriage based on love

I have loved Little Women since I was a kid but avoided the sequels until reading Little Men a few years ago. I liked it a lot more than I expected. So I expected to enjoy Jo's Boys. Instead I was mostly bored and had trouble remembering who was who. The most interesting character was Dan, and I hated the way he was treated. I think there were just too many characters to give any of them enough of a focus.
