The romance was steamy as always, Douglas is an expert at the taboo for sure. However, I couldn’t get passed this dude being a deadbeat dad and at no point during his “redemption arc” was I convinced that he was a good dad or good man for that matter. I couldn’t even find him sexy because that was so hard to look past. Also the wild twist at the end felt kinda lackluster, like a last minute thrown in thing. Not my favorite by her but clearly good enough that I finished it🤷🏼‍♀️

Really good! love ld everything! Her struggles and growth! His conflicts and their need for each other.

I did wish that the relationship between her Jack didnt end how it did! I was really disappointed with that and felt there could have been another chapter going into that, ending with more resolution! They were so close I didnt like how the author destroyed their relationship.
