My major problem with this book is that it’s not at all what the title promises. The actual genetic history of the peopling of the Americas doesn’t start until more than halfway way through the book. I guess ‘a thorough survey of the history of archeology in the Americas attempting to document the timeline of human arrival, supplemented with some genetic analysis’ is a less pithy title.
