This certainly wasn't my favorite of the series thus far. Maybe it's about time for it to end if we're running out of personal stories to tell? It just felt like we weren't given much insight into any one specific character, which is what I love most out of this series. Yes, we were able to see a couple more worlds, but not through the eyes of those who end up in them. I feel like this story could have been better served as a short story instead of the full novella.

As always with this series, I loved this book with my whole heart and soul. These group adventure books are always wonderful, and I loved finding out more of the lore about the doors. Seeing old characters again, and leaving some behind, was both heartbreaking and wonderful. I will continue to love these books until I can’t anymore.

I honestly don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this series. I loved how self-aware this one was and the direction the meta plot is going in.
