Enjoyable read. It was very easy to pick up and be transported away to another world.

Would recommend to anyone who loves bikes and sci-fi short stories.

We Bike Book Club April 2021

I really enjoyed this collection of short stories. In other feminist sci-fi short story compilations by Microcosm Publishing, you get a few inexperienced writers and the writing suffers from that, but this collection is full of professional writers, which made it really enjoyable to read. Definitely recommend for the bicycle science fiction readers out there.

Delightful! A lot of fun and thought-provoking short stories. I wish I had access to this kind of representation as a teen. I'm already looking up a few of the authors to see what else they have done.

I picked this book up for the 2024 Trans Rights Readathon. For me, it was a new anthology of short stories put together by queer non-binary authors.

I have not previously heard of or read any of the authors from this book, so I was able to go into it with fresh eyes. The only thing I knew about the book going into was that each story would have a reoccurring theme or element that tied them all together, which was the bicycle.

I liked a lot of the stories that I had read in this book I think two of them were my favorites just because of the space western space opera vibes that they gave me. One in particular reminded me of tv show Killjoys and the author of that one was Ava Kellly.

Stories are different, and each has the unique message of support and clear vision when it comes to the queer, nonbinary and trans community.

Overall, I just really enjoyed it and I also like that there wasn't any heaviness to the narratives or any clear nods to trauma. Readers can pick up Trans Galatic Bike Ride and enjoy the stories for what they are.
