they’re cute and they made me smile a bit here and there but i wasn’t attached enough to feel anything. both hadassah and ahmad had the wrong assumptions about each other concerning their feelings and such but overcame that together through, guess what, communication. anyways, for an erotic novella i kinda of expected more…like this felt like a regular novella with a regular couple doing regular things.

This was so cute! All I can say is that I need me an Ahmad. lol This book gets a 4.5 because Haddie got on my nerves at some parts because it was like she was trying to sabotage the relationship and push Ahmad away. I know she had problems to work through, but it was still annoying. lol Other than that I loved how Ahmad was considered reserved/strong, but with Haddie he was more open. This was too cute!!
there were some grammatical and other writing errors but the overall book was still good.

This was my first time reading a book by Tasha Harrison and let me say this did not disappoint. I loved the characters in this book. Ahmad was a 10/10 book boyfriend. I loved that he was able to express to Haddie how he felt about her. I loved Haddie. She was a very a relatable character. All the secondary characters were intriguing. Now I’m going to read Ava and Levi’s story.

I've been purposely staying away from Contemporary Romances with my mood lately. **gestures at the world on fire**
I'll admit this was heavier than I was in the mood for but I couldn't stop reading about Ahmad and Haddie. IT features all of these fears I have going into relationships/commitments and it felt so incredibly real and raw. It's terrifying to take a chance. I really loved how openly emotional Ahmad was and how emotionally closed off Haddie was. They balance each other out but have to put the work in. Definitely adding more Tasha L. Harrison to my tbr.

I thought was going to be an erotic novella.......it is not! On a scale of spicy or smutty, I give it 1/5.
That aside, this novella is a lovely childhood friends-to-lovers story. I was not expecting how well the issues of healing, effective, and patient communication were addressed in less than 150 pages.
What I loved:
- both MC & love interest had their own friend groups
- even though it was written in first person (lots of I's), it did not feel like a journal & it fits the overall theme of the story.
- how the author addressed the issue that comes with healing and letting the readers know we are all deserving of love.
What I didn't like: It was not erotic. Even though "erotic novella" is literally in the title!!

this book had me giddy and smiling non stop. The characters interactions were very wholesome and had amazing dirty talk written throughout. Ahmad and Hadassha’s dynamic felt so unique, tied in with their palpable chemistry and great emotional depth, I really enjoyed reading their story. I honestly can’t get over the smut, it’s not too much, but just enough to have you swooning and squealing
