Not very well written. A lot of slang which just felt wrong and it all felt a little juvenile. I liked it more than Don’t Kiss the Bride and I was able to suspend my issues with the taboo nature and actually get on board with them. But Tor kinda sucked and was sometimes mean and Kenzi was very “I’m not like other girls.”

#1 contender for the worst book of the year! everyone who gave this 5 stars pleaseeee go to therapy i beg of you

when the book started with “Kenzie - 1 day old. // Toren : 15 years old.” i knew i was in for a real treat! let's start there- the 15 year age gap wouldn’t even bother me if she was like 25 & he 40. this is not the case- kenzie is barely legal, and i mean bareeellyy (they first kiss when she’s 17) but it’s ok bc everyone can not shut up about how she’s sooo mature for her age mentally and physically and not like other girls. sigh

half of this book is flashbacks to the li being the fmc's godfather, which is a super interesting choice because you get great scenes like him calling baby kenzie the love of his life when she was born (bc he was in love with her mom, mind you), or, my personal favorite, a cut in the middle of tor taking kenzie's virginity to her first word as a baby being his name! had to start skimming after that because i wanted to die!

here are some wonderful lines from the story to complement this-
- "if we do this, the little girl and the uncle are left at the door."
- "my brain is way too mangled up with visions of her as a little girl and the glimpse of her half-naked ass i saw a few minutes ago"
- "i can’t think about shoving my cock into her mouth one minute and then remember rocking her to sleep when she was a baby the next"

jail! immediately

and then, at the end of the story they have a baby! girl get her away from this man she is next

Wow, I really loved this book, the way the love grew between toren and kensley is great. Can't wait to see what's next from this author.

The flashbacks are so motherfucking cringe. I cannot do this age gap. I'm just so uncomfortable.

DNF @ page 5. He’s her “uncle” that has been in her life since the day she was born. No, thank you.
