I enjoyed this one, 4 stars. I've out it off for awhile not because I was uninterested but just didn't have the time.

⭐ Didn't like/DNF
⭐⭐ Was okay but probably won't seek out a sequel
⭐⭐⭐ it was good and I'll likely look for the next book
⭐⭐⭐⭐ I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'll definitely be reading any and all other books
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I'm adding it to my cart right now and getting paperback I loved it so much

It starts off slow, but that's predictable in any series. The action really kicks in at 70-80% then it goes off with a bang.

The FMC ... I understand why she lashes out like she does I mightn't like it but hey to be told you were stolen as a baby, carted off across the other side of the country with a stranger and forbidden to contact the people she knows and loves? I'd be lashing out too

For those saying Cheating is hinted to happen. This is a Reverse Harem. That means she will end up with more than one partner.

The MMCs...
Parresh - typical enemy to lovers he lashes out blaming her for something she can't control. Because she was kidnapped his stepmum was over protective. His character grows....a little....towards the end... still

Chasm - again there's character growth. He seems to get his shit together a lot quicker than Parresh however he stays loyal to his friend

Maxx- hmm I like him. He's a great character but I'm also cautious. This seems to be where the "cheating" suspicion may come into it given he is with the FMCs sister but we shall see

Tess/bio mum ... I get where she's coming from I don't know how I'd be in her situation, she's obviously got PTSD, and some serious trauma however the way she is towards her long lost daughter.... she gets a no from me. She's unwilling to even consider Dakotas feelings. How all this may have affected her. She exploits their situation for her book sales and the list goes on. She seriously seriously should be in therapy. Like years ago.

it was okay

This book as okay, I’m sure a lot even loved it, but I had zero connection with the characters. No it’s not the age, but I just couldn’t connect at all. The plots was good if the pacing was a bit slow, the characters too, on paper should have been amazing, but it just wasn’t there for me.

Omfg….

This was one of the most frustrating books I have read this year. Why? Well, it was a very slow start. I kept removing it from my current reads and adding it back. Which I never do, but this book was so freaking annoying at times, and all of a sudden it was super interesting and intense. It drove me crazy! I knew I had to finish this one though.

Okayyy. So, as I said very frustrating book. But, I also LOVED it at the same time. The characters are a bit annoying in the beginning, but once you learn more about them you start to understand why they act the way they do. Parrish and Dakota are two very different characters. Dakota is pretty badass in this book. I liked her character for most of the book, not gonna lie she did annoy me a few times.. Anyways, I actually really like Parrish, but what happened to him in the end…. NOT RIGHT! Ugh, I don’t want to spoil anything, but seriously that ending?!?! Well, on to the next one.

Stolen Crush was an enigma I hadn't encountered during my past reading experiences. The synopsis lays out the entirety of the book in a few short paragraphs, however, what the synopsis discusses only comes to pass in the last eighth of the book. The rest of it is a slow excursion into self discovery and a taboo romance. For me personally, I liked the bully-ish slow burn love story over the underlying mystery.

I related extremely well with Dakota/Mia. I am a gamer girl who frequents Twitch on a regular basis. I also would must rather be comfortably me than dress to impress those around me. Dakota marched to her own drum and I loved that about her. Watching Dakota navigate the change from rural middle-class life to the upper crust rich girl experience was riveting. She handled it about the same as I would expect. She preferred the comfort of the mundane over the glitz and glamour. Dakota seemed to take hit after hit from her new family. A mother who seemed more into obtaining her because she owned her rather than wanting her, a stepfather that tolerated her, a stepbrother and half-sister who mocked and belittled her to the point of it being uncomfortably cruel, and little half-siblings who are just trying to understand who she is and how she relates to their family. Add to that some mystery surrounding her father, Dakota is managing the best she can and I applaud her for handling it better than I would have.

The boys in the book were not all that enticing to me. Parrish was a spoiled rich boy who bullied Dakota for no reason other than he can't face his own feelings for his new stepsister. Chasm has misguided loyalty to Parrish and so joins in on bullying her like the sidekick role he has been cast in. Maxx is trying to shed his rich boy stereotype and be a good guy but he still has a thing for his girlfriend's little sister, so is he really such a nice guy now? None of them really got my blood boiling. Add to it that any sex scenes were borderline fade-to-black and I was meh about 3/4th the way through the book.

I think if there was more spice and more development of the male characters the way Dakota was would vastly improve the book overall.
