Back at it with DC Morgan! I found myself not enjoying thriller/mystery novels that is centered on a police/officer/detective but I just really enjoyed how Claire Mackintosh writes the DC Morgan series.

I seriously enjoyed this a lot. The concept of a TV show exposing people's deepest, darkest secrets was horrifying and then BAM! Mystery. I don't know why but I found it funny the Ffion loves reality TV and it just made me love her character more. I love the build-up of the story and how everything was closed and shut by the end, although it felt kind of rushed. And of course, the subplot of Ffion and Leo's story. Ahhh! Hopefully there'sna third to this series!

enjoyed this one too! i’m not a huge fan of miscommunication as a trope but I thought this was just going to be a silly little trapped island murder mystery and it was way more complex and played on the existing characters and new relationships as well.

Solid police procedural! Ffion is a fun lead, the narrator was amazing.
