I truly enjoyed every single minute of this audiobook. Kelly is so real and down to earth and I have always grown up watching her. I went to the book tour for this one, and I had such a blast, and the book was the same way. I really loved her humor and how relatable she is.

I lived this quick glimpse into her life you think some one like her would live a fairy tale life..but they seem just like us

If you enjoy Kelly Ripa's sharp wit and self-deprecation on her show, you will enjoy this book. I listened to the audio version, which was obviously read by her with brief snippets read by her husband, Mark. Kelly is smart, funny, and has always given me cool big sister vibes. She seems like a normal woman you would know, yet she meets and interviews famous celebrities every day for a living. There were multiple times that I literally laughed out loud while reading this.

I've seen several reviews that criticized her decision to write a book of essays as opposed to a memoir (Side note: I did not read the full title of the book and thought this was a memoir when I started to read it, but I feel like it should count in the memoir category for the Pop Sugar Challenge). I definitely would enjoy reading her memoir as well, but the stories she shared were fully of humor and did a fantastic job of blending her life as a television host with that of being a wife and mother.

Another criticism I heard about was in the way she wrote about Regis Philbin, especially since this book was published after his death. I adored Regis and fondly remember watching him on Live for years. He was smart, funny, and an incredible story teller (all of which Kelly acknowledges in her book) which made for great television. However, nothing she said about him was really surprising, nor did I feel she spoke ill of him in a way that he would have wanted to defend himself had he still been alive when the book was published. There was a narrative that put her in a negative light and given that she had the opportunity to address it and defend herself through the book, she did. I felt she did so in a thoughtful and honest way that told how things were, both good and bad. I think that perhaps the people who were offended on behalf of Regis were actually upset that the spell was broken in terms of his relationship with Kelly and his behavior towards her on and off set. We all wanted to think we were sitting down and having our morning coffee with two friends, which to me, just shows how well they were both doing their jobs and should be commended for that.

All this to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely read another one by her if she chooses to write one. I give it an overall grade of a B+.

I love Regis & Kelly and I still watch it if I am at home when it is on (and yes to this day I still call it Regis & Kelly). I like Kelly Ripa, I loved Hope & Faith, so here I am.

I thought it would be a book filled with funny stories about her time on the show and the opportunities it provided. It was sort of that. She does talk about Regis, albeit vaguely, and how she got on the show. Outside of this one chapter, the rest is mostly stories with her husband or family. She spends a good portion of time talking about her kids being born and then going off to college. Some random stories of funny things that happened while travelling the world that are probably to explain random things in the papers over the years. Did I enjoy all the stories, yes, but it wasn't what I was expecting.

It was nice to listen to it from Kelly herself. She is an excellent storyteller. It was also funny that from time to time, her husband, Mark Consuelos, would pop in with his thoughts on a story. I would definitely recommend giving it a listen over print for this reason.

I really enjoyed this honest and often hilarious collection of personal essays from Live host Kelly Rippa. She talks about her marriage, pregnancies, being a working mom, career challenges and so much more. There's a few really funny celebrity anecdotes included too. Great on audio read by the author herself and definitely recommended if you're a fan.

This book is exactly as billed - long-winded short stories from Kelly Ripa's life and work. She holds back but doesn't pretend she didn't. She's honest about things like her Regis reality, but not mean or shocking. She writes in a way that's relatable even when the story isn't.
