Okay wow, this book was so much more than what it appears to be. First, I have to say that one of my all time favorite books is Bully by Penelope Douglas (Jared and Tate are some of my all time favorite couples and their characters are solid bad mofos). This book, Austin, gave me Bully nostalgia and I freaking loved it!!

I absolutely LOVE when authors give us a strong female character. Too many times females get the short end of the stick and this book killed it with Jalynn. She was so sarcastic, beautiful, strong, witty, intelligent, and loyal. Her energy and Austin’s was one of the best enemies to lovers dynamics I’ve read in a long time. They were definitely soulmates and complimented each other.

Also, this book has a extremely dark and touching matter that I was not prepared for but it was absolutely beautiful. I felt like I was right there in the memories when the interview, I won’t spoil it, occurred. I found myself tearing up and thought it fit in the story with so much importance and it was a struggle to keep my tears at bay.

The side characters were enjoyable as well. Everyone had a purpose in this story and it was just truly great writing! This book is a diamond in the rough. I am so happy that I stumbled upon it while browsing booktok. It deserves some recognition!

Overall great banter, great spice, fantastic backstories on the characters that touch your soul, also a big thing to highlight is the maturity level; too many times I’ve DNF’d books because the immaturity level of characters becomes intolerable. I was so glad that this story seemed relatable and realistic. The villain in here was written well. I can honestly say I found no flaws in this book. I loved it.

""I think you're getting your fairy tales and nursery rhymes mixed up. Your mouth is as big as your ego." "Better to eat you with, my dear."

Remember the one situation that had your heart and pulse racing, your nerves totally blank and you thought you must die due to over-excitement. That moment right before the rush hits you and you get a kick out of something exhilarating. That's what reading Austin felt like.

"I can feel him. Not just his body but also his energy. He's like the engine of his Camaro, vibrating within me."

If you love The Fast and The Furious and are into car racing in combination with a soft sided alpha-male and a strong minded and easy lovable heroine, Austin is just right up your alley. It's a cute love story packed with the right amount of thrilling action and romance.

"My mind freezes again. I hate that this frustrating man kisses like a god and leaves me in a puddle of goo."

Austin, the middle of the Sexton Brothers is simply funny, thoughtful, spontaneous, smart, and above all totally gorgeous. He comes from money and is on a mission finding his way in life. The car races give him some kind of inner peace. Until he meets this girl, that doesn't back down and captures his mind and soul.
Jalynn is pretty awesome. I love the way she manages Austin. How she stands up to him and falls for him piece by piece.
Together they have great chemistry and the way their love and relationship develops is just perfect to me.

"Falling for someone is an exhilarating ride. Not knowing whether you'll crash at the bottom or be caught in a forever kind of love is absolutely petrifying."

I can't really wait to read more of those captivating Sexton Brothers! ❤️

The first in the Sexton Brothers series; it is filled with speed, family, fun, and passion.

Austin Sexton likes to go fast. Only known to a close few that he is the infamous street racer "Falcon", speed is his drug of choice when he feels the itch to escape the daily grind. Even knowing he could lose everything his family has built nothing seems to stop the need until he meets Jalynn Smith. A woman with a passion to help those in need without much thought to herself. A trait he admires, but also wants to know what drives her passion and if she is so passionate about everything in her life.

Jalynn wasn't supposed to attend that race, but she always seems to be picking up the pieces of broken men. It was how she ended up in Falcon's car, by accident. She had no idea who he was except the most infuriating man she'd ever met and once the night was over she thought she'd see him again. Little did she know that Falcon was related to her new boss who just happened to own the company. Didn't she like a fool for not recognizing a very wealthy man, but the bigger question was, why was a millionaire racing cars under cover? Her new job just got a lot more interesting.

Can Austin and Jalynn figure out how to make things work without destroying each other and destroying everything that the Sexton name stands for.

Medically discharged from the military, Austin Sexton needs a vice to get through his day. Besides drinking he uses speed and unsanctioned racing to make it through his day. When a chance encounter with a mystery woman knocks Austin on his ass, can he finally find something to replace his need to speed? Or will his responsibility to help run Sexton Media and the fact that Jalynn is his brother's assistant stop the relationship in it's tracks? I absolutely love this family. Secrets are revealed and emotions are high. I was locked in from the opening pages and I cannot wait to read more in the series.

Austin is the first book I've read by Jeannine Colette and Lauren Runow, but that is going to change in 2019! I enjoyed pretty much everything about this story. The storyline was fast paced, entertaining, and interesting. The characters had great chemistry, and their romance was steamy.

I loved the street racing aspect of the story, and how the authors put a spin on it which made it unique and different. Austin isn't just an amazing driver. He's also a wealthy businessman and a military veteran. He hides his identity when he races, because if certain people were to find out about his extracurricular activities, there could be devastating repercussions.

During this book, we also get to know a little about Austin's brother, Bryce. He is portrayed as the more uptight and responsible brother. I have a feeling he is somewhat misunderstood. Either way, he managed to grab my attention enough for me to want to know more about him. Bryce will be a 2019 read for sure!

I had a hard time getting into this book as street racing isn’t my thing but I decided to keep going and damn I’m glad I did!!! I ended up absolutely loving this book. As soon as I finished it I downloaded Bryce. This was a new author to me and I’m glad I took a chance!

I enjoyed the story. I like the ones based in the area I live. I would have liked to have seen more relationship between then and less racing. Maybe a friendship with her brother. Over all it was good.

3.5. I enjoyed this book, but I didn't love it. Nothing was wrong with it, it just was hard for me to really attach to the main characters. I liked both Austin and Jaylynn, but something was missing for me to feel really pulled in and invested in them.
