This whole series was phenomenal. Yes it's a series written on the premise of cheating but you fall in love with all of them anyway. They are all fantastically fucked up but completely eachother seamlessly. In the end they couldn't have made it without eachother.

This is the second book in the trilogy and just WOW. This picks up where A Taste of Ink left off. It is a cliffhanger but since it’s part of a trilogy that is a given. Things have really heated up. Trinket has become more extraverted. He is more bossy with both Mini and Zee. I can’t say I like Trinket nor Mini any better. I don’t mind cheating books but my opinion is Trinket doesn’t know what he wants and Zee has made life too easy for him. Mini, I don’t quite have a handle on him but even though he comes across as well experienced I don’t think his ability to carry on an affair so easily warms my heart. Trinket is starting to feel a little guilt but for what these two are doing behind Zee’s back I think there should be more guilt. After all the carrying on I have a feeling Zee isn’t as much in the dark as is assumed in the story. I can’t wait to get to the final book in this trilogy. These books have made me become a follower of this author.

4/5 AAA this was so good; I started understanding all three characters and actually liking them. The writing is smooth ofc, and the prose is really nice. Though I expected actual povs from mini and zee because we got the little bit about the ring at the beginning... I'm a bit disappointed because of that but it was still overall great.

"They went on another upwards zigzag, back into the trees, where the rising sun became a flickering dream, its light coming only in occasional sparks. Trinket had a flash of a thought, something like ‘this must be what the sun looks like to fish in ponds,’ like the towering evergreens were lily pads." - Trinket

There are very good, articulate reviews out there for these books - this is not one of them. I am all reactions for this HOT AF installment in the series with messy, sexy, fascinating characters. Read these books (but definitely read the CW).

Now I'm off to read Book 3

I feel like I’m being terrorized by Daniel May and if you think for even a moment I’m forgiving the whole naming a character Vermin thing you’re WRONG.
