i’ve decided i’m not going to give poetry collections rankings unless they are 5, these will stay with me forever type poems.

this wasn’t my favourite writing style and i prefer shorter poems BUT this is such an honest, beautiful, tragic portrayal of grief. the author put it all out there on the page.

Autopsy is a beautiful work of poetry by Donte Collins. Many of the poems in this book are highly personal and powerful, owing to the subject and impetus of this collection of poetry. There's a sense of urgency and grief, raw and present. Several of these poems moved me to tears.

I highly recommend this collection of poems and anything else Donte Collins releases. They are an excellent poet with stunning command of language.
