Unfortunately this was too much of a domestic suspense (definitely not a "non-stop thrill ride") with a sci-fi spin for my liking.. I can't stand stories revolving around relationships where you wonder why these people got together in the first place and that's what The Echo Wife is predominantly about. There are also too many plot holes and conveniences, incomprehensible decisions and rationalizations by allegedly intelligent people, no world-building whatsoever and the ending was.. I don't even know what to say about it.

I mean, it held my attention, I read it in just a couple of days and overall I definitely didn't dislike it, it just clearly wasn't the book for me.

3.8 - What a WILD ride of a book! I suggest going into this one without knowing many details—although note that it’s not for the weak of stomach (gore). Scientist Evelyn has won an award for inventing the ability to create adult human clones—at the same moment her husband leaves her for another woman. Who is that woman? Buckle your seatbelt for many plot twists. This book is sci-fi and a bit thriller, while also packing in a lot of character building and introspection (some of which can be a little repetitive at times). I loved the unexpected turns the story and relationship building took between the main characters and will definitely be reading more from Sarah Gailey.
