I read it outloud to Husband. Timely, clever, funny and a whole lotta truth. Literature, poetry, art...it's how we'll stay sane and survive.

When my copy arrived in the post my youngest decided to open it and read the first poem, she laughed and told me that Boris wouldn't like this book and we should send him a copy...so I was already liking this book before I'd even opened it.  The poetry here is very different to previous work by Whitewolf, his usual rhyming beat is gone and so is the tempo, instead there is a feeling of shock and the rhyming is to a far slower beat.

It is great to see a new book by Whitewolf, it is a shame Brexit had to happen to inspire him.  He tries to explain Brexit and how misguided everybody was believing the lies and that the country needed this.  Throughout the book there is a "have compassion" series of poems seeing things from everybody's point of view, these were very accurate and they were my favourites.  The language is rather bold, each use of the c-bomb made me smile and I loved the odd reference to the past, "we're only making plans for Nigel" is a fine poem.  The satire is spot on, I just wish more people would read this.  The ending was a nice touch, get rid of the flags as for many of us the union jack is associated with racism, nothing to be proud of there.

I'm not going to include anything he wrote in this collection, I recommend you grab a copy and have a read, it is well worth it.
