Decent story and foundational for a number of ideas in science fiction. A bit slow in a few parts and could have been edited down. It's about as racist as one would expect from a 1950s English science fiction author. And also sexist.

I got 86 pages in and I suppose a lot had happened but it wasn't really gripping me, I could easily take it or leave it. Then, the 'n' word was used and I just couldn't be bothered to read anymore of the crap
