To be totally honest, this story was somewhat interesting until it got to a point where it wasn't anymore. It's easy to read, but the plot started to become too childish for my liking. That's just my personal opinion. I didn't have any favourite character... I just couldn't relate to the story at all.

I decided to start with the series in chronological order. This is story of Digory and Polly trying to save their world and Narnia from the Queen who tries to take over either world. It’s also the creation of Narnia by Aslan.
Digory is the nephew of Uncle Andrew. Tricks him with rings. Polly and him travel through the worlds accidentally bringing Queen Jadis to their world. Getting her back, they accidentally bring her to Narnia where Aslan is creating it. Aslan sends Digory on an adventure to bring him something back. Jadis is trying to conquer worlds.
It explains how there is a lamppost in Narnia (the queen breaks it off in the human world and brings it back with her to Narnia) and how the wardrobe was built (the apple tree was destroyed in the human world and used to create it)
