I always enjoy dragons, so I admit I'm predisposed to like this series. But these are fun, fast reads that have a decent story. It moves really quickly - it is pretty much insta-love, and the characters act like they've known each other for months when it has been like 10 days - but I'm enjoying it even if it is a bit simplistic.

I immediately jumped into KISS THE SKY after finishing book 1 and I enjoyed seeing more of Kira's journey with her men. This time the group is traveling to the Air Realm and we learn a little more about some of the world's politics and more about the Dragons. Also bonus points for Brin's character, I loved her and hope we continue to see more of her in future books.

Kira has now bonded with Jasin and is preparing to bond with Auric, our sweet and bookish Prince. The heat level bumps up from the previous book as Jasin helps give Auric some hands-on lessons on how to please Kira. The three of them were very sexy together and I especially loved seeing how they became more comfortable with each other.

Both Reven and Slade are still trying to resist their feelings for Kira but the more time they spend together the harder it's getting. I'm really curious to see how things will progress in book 3 with Slade because he's so determined to not give his heart away; and of all the men he's the one that struggles the most with the idea of sharing Kira.

With some higher steam, new revelations about Kira's past, a touch of angst and jealousy, this series has me riveted!

He rested his hands on my upper arms. "You don't have to be strong all the time, Kira. It's okay to cry or yell or break down. That's why you have us. We're here for you to lean on."

WOW. The steam ramped up in this sequel. Of that, there is no question. Full disclosure, I listened to the audiobook and commend the actors, because Stephen Dexter in particular genuinely made me blush in a certain “schooling” scene.

Anyway, this is another fun instalment to this undeniably sexy series. I had a great time listening to it and learning more about the five characters (though Reven is still my favourite).

The story followed a similar path to the previous book, though there were new encounters and romantic moments for the leads. Auric is adorably awkward so it was nice to see him work around his past and his future.

Though I could predict certain things, there were a few surprising moments and the romance and bromances were definitely improved on. Kira continues to grow and learn more about herself and struggles against the overwhelming nature of what she is and will become. I really look forward to seeing what happens next!

WOW! We got some of the questions answered in this book that i was dying to know from book 1. I had moments in this book where i was so mad at things the characters did or what i thought they were going to do.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THE BLACK DRAGON IS HER MOTHERS. I was shook to my core over that.

I actually love Brin so much even though i hated her on sight when we first met her. I am definitely have a love hate relationship with Reven. I love Jasin and Auric so much. I don't really know how i feel about slade right now, he's a little boring but i think maybe he just hasn't had his time to shine yet.

This is such a fun read and i am loving it so much and i can't wait to dive into the second book.

Oh be still my beating heart. The scenes with Jasin/Auric/Kira made the whole book so much better. Perfect Sunday read.
