Holy hell, the MC is insufferable. I couldn’t make it to the end. She just kept getting more unhinged with her inner dialogue and then heckling everyone trying to help her. The police chapters were the only interesting bit. Why did we have chapters from the pov of the pilots? They added nothing to the plot. The police conversations could’ve been easily relayed between the flight attendants and probably be interesting since they are directly in contact with the mom.

A rating somewhere around 2.5 - there were moments of thrill, but there was just too much (and too little) happening all at once. So many POVs, and one or two felt unnecessary. I had no attachment to any of the characters and the ending felt too neat for me.

Dnf-ing this because the characters aren't compelling, the many sub-plot setups feel predictable, and most importantly, the writing feels emotionless, like the words are only there to string together sentences, to form what feels like nothing more than a product to sell and nothing like a story worth reading.
