Greatly enjoyed the book, a few sexual references diminished my pleasure of it The storytelling transported me back to the 1930's and was delivered in a very enjoyable style. I admire Towles versatility and always enjoys his stories, and this one didn't disappoint.
Tinker's sexual favours provided to his patroness was the big twist I didn't quite see coming until it was there, and I didn't love that twist but the story still progressed well and had me wanting to find out what came next

This was not nearly as gripping as Towles’s subsequent books. It took me a long while to get into it, and by the time it finally piqued my interest, the book was almost over. Not sure the payoff was worth such a long wait. I definitely did not care about these characters nearly as much as I did for the characters in his other books.

Meu, mas que livro!!! Já vinha com altas expectativas por causa de "Um gentleman em Moscovo", do mesmo autor, mas esta obra aguentou bem a pressão e surpreendeu-me pela positiva! É uma pena que tenha demorado tanto a meio do livro, mas é a vida. Já notei que o autor tem esta tendência de criar protagonistas com uma grande personalidade e ironia, o que A-D-O-R-O!!! ❤️
