It started really good! I was hooked and I loved the characters and their interactions mostly, it veered on the cliché side a bit but was still very enjoyable to me, the 3rd act is where things started to fall apart for me, I haaaaate miscommunication trope, especially when its utilized stupidly like this, Gabriel dying was so annoying I couldn't see the point in it except making Juliette more miserable and a reason she's feeling low enough to allow Katarina in, and on that topic, she confused the fuck out of me in the 3rd act, her actions make no sense with her thoughts, idk she annoyed me tbh, and her and Katarina making up was so anti climatic and disappointing, like 7 years of hurt and anger solved just like that??? her friends "betraying" her was lame af and felt like an asspull, the ending especially feels like it was written by a different person, I get it's supposed to be happy but it didn't hit me.
over all ,a meh book for me, but to be fair I don't read romance and if this was het I'd never pick it up, and I believe lesbians deserve our cheesy romance books too! so keep going.

I had high expectations for this book, and it definitely delivered. Abby Craden brought the characters to life with their corresponding accents. I was pulled into the story almost immediately, and the twists and turns in this world of ballet were amazing to experience. I am pretty sure I gasped a few times because I did not see some of the surprises coming.

This is a fantastic, heartbreaking, delicious, romantic and 100% dramatic wlw romance. This has to be McKay's best. I can't say I find all her books a 5/5, but this one? This is like an 10/5. This is McKay's at her very best. Do be warned that it's a ride and you will find everything.

Beautiful. Heartbreaking. Bittersweet. Romantic. A book that left me aching and being grateful for the time we have together, and regretting the times we've lost.
