Another great page turner. Could not put this book down.

Left on another cliff hanger. Bring on the next book!

Love the writing style. I love the characters. How the story isn’t just from a first person. Great set of books to get the reading bug back

Not quite as gory as Jigsaw Man, but it was still quite graphic. While I was into the book the whole time, I did feel like 500+ pages got to be a little too long at times and there were SO. MANY. CHARACTERS. So many suspects, people of interest, investigators and supporting characters, at times it was hard to remember who was who.

Anjelica Henley is on a new case where a pastor is found dead, and a young man is left barely alive. As she tries to unravel this case, she finds that people are fanatical and are performing exorcisms. Anjelica is also conflicted about her role as a police investigator vs. being a wife and mother.
As always, Matheson's characters are complex, and this novel continued to make you wonder who was the actual killer, as there were so many possibilities!
Looking forward to book 3!
