This one was way too long, it would have benefited from a good editing. I guessed the killer about 25% in, which never happens to me, and it just dragged. Still looking forward to book 3 since I really like the characters

Incredible, those plot twists were very unexpected and so good, I can't wait to read The Kill List

This is far better than the first book. An intricate plot with lots of good police work (at least, the sort of police work they do in crime fiction), banter and of course there is darkness as well. The commentary on racism didn't go unappreciated either and I continue to love the diverse cast of these books, which is not something
that I tend to see in police procedurals.
