A nice beginning of a new paranormal series.

Probably my favorite of the series. I read the second, third and fourth book first for some reason before going back to read this one. I loved this book and the second and third but the fourth really didn’t do it for me. Philippe was too immature and wishy washy and only commited in the last 20 minutes of the audiobook.

Ysabel made a deal with the devil, she wanted revenge on those who burned her alive at the stake, especially a boyfriend who played a part in her death. Now 500 years later, she is still tied to Lucifer and counting the days when her deal with him is done. What she had not planned on was the people she sought revenge on escaping and having to hunt them down and return them to hell, nor did she want the help of playboy demon Remy.

Remy wants Ysabel, Ysabel wants Remy but would never admit it. As they grow closer to finding each and every escapee the attraction continues to build and will they be satisfied with just a fling or is there something more to explore?

This was hilarious, I loved the whole Lucifer angle he is a hoot. What a way to start a new series, one of those books you cant put down until you finish.

Read this series out of order but it is fun, light and quick reads ... definitely potty mouthed so if that bothers you this series is not for you; personally most of it made me laugh. Lucifer is a riot and Gaia has him by the short and curlies.

This was a cute, fun read. If you're looking for something with humor and quick-to-fall-in-love plot then this is a good choice. There isn't much more to the book than that, but I enjoyed it and may even read the next book in the series.

The concept of this book was intriguing and I liked it.
A good witch being burned at the stake by the towns people doing one "evil" deed while dying in order to damn the people responsible. This including her lover. However by doing this damning herself. Then hundred of years later his soul escaping from Hell and her having to team up with a tracker to hunt him down and bring him back. All while the chemistry with said hunter is all hot and steamy and her getting a well deserved HEA.
The execution however didn't quite do it for me. There are things I loved and parts that confused me. Okay so things that stick out the most. I love a sassy take no shit kick ass heroine. I felt like she was ALMOST there she definitely talked the talk but I wanted her to kick more ass.
Spoiler I also liked the twist and added urgency the reliving her death added to the story. Now for the hero he had A LOT of talk dirty to me moments which I'm here for BUUUUUT they were weirdly placed to me.

Overall it was okay not bad but not great.
