I am so glad that I took the opportunity to re-read this excellent story after finding it at the library. It was one of my favorite reads in elementary school, and it absolutely still holds up. I remembered a lot of the story, but there were still plenty of minor details that managed to take me by surprise again!

I am glad I finally picked this book up. It was a great read. A group of people who don’t realize they are connected are all called into the reading of the Westing will. In order to receive their inheritance they need to solve a puzzle as to who murdered Mr. Westing.

I did a book review presentation on this book in 4th grade and it was one of the first books I got from the “young adult” section at the library. I wanted to see if I still enjoyed it now. I think it really stood the test of time outside of some of the comments from Grace. It was so fun!
And the afterword was really interesting with how she wrote the Westing Game. “She wrote for the adult in children” and I think that really stands. Also, she wrote the clues as that intertwined as she went along?? How?
