This would be a book I would've devoured as a kid. Actually surprised that I never read it. It was a fun read as an adult and I appreciated the little puzzles of figuring out the killer with the interesting group of characters. I have not been so happy to finish a book in a long time. Maybe in the time this book was written, it would've been worthy of all of the attention it got. Now, however, it was like an agonizingly slow children's Agatha Christy without the intrigue. I liked the last 10%... even then maybe only because I was close to finished.
