Did it take me until halfway through the fourth story to realizes each one is a take on a story in the movie Love Actually?  Yes, yes it did. Are these nine stories wayyyyyyy better than the movie versions, also yes!

I can’t pick a favorite as I loved something about each story including the fact that each one reflects the author’s signature style; from banter, to emotion, to steam/heat level you get a full story that still feels true to the rest of their backlist.

I’ve preordered the audiobook as this is now a required holiday reread.

My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was a great anthology of spicy romance short stories. I love Alexis Daria and was pleased to be approved for an ARC audiobook. My only wish is that they were longer stories, but that would defeat the purpose I suppose!

It made me realize romance anthologies are not for me. The stories are too short for me to care about any of the characters.

Of these authors, I'd read books by Alexis Daria and Mia Sosa before, but I'm delighted to discover a bunch of new Latinx romance authors here. I love how this takes the overlapping characters of Love Actually and creates similar connections between characters across these stories (each written by a different author)...all of the characters come together at a Nochebuena party at the end. Some of the stories weren't super believable in their instalove, but overall these were just so much fun to read. Favorites included Love in Spanglish, All I Want for Nochebuena, and Santa's Eager Little Helper. For someone who was pretty "meh" about most of the holiday reads I picked up this year and doesn't love anthologies, this hit just the right note!

A seriously sweet and spicy collection of intertwined, Latino holiday love stories. This anthology includes a late queer awakening, polyam relationships, language gap love, sex worker romance, and so much more. Adventures all over NYC bring these winter wonderland love stories to life, all falling together on Noche Buena. Super quick, fun, and seasonal read. Definitely a headphones in audiobook if you’ve got company 🥵
