the first half of this book was so good. with the cliff hanger the last book ended on, the stakes were high and there was a lot of tension in the first half. then they go off to sea and we get holland's redemption story and the beginning of kell and lila's relationship. rhy's growth from prince to king and finding peace with himself was beautiful. i think the end fell a little flat for me and there were too many loose ends/unfinished business for my liking.
