At best, a little pointless and weird, at worst, an uninteresting “twist” or reveal that feels so jejune for magical realism

Maybe I’m being too generous with a 5/5, but even with the ending I’m just a sucker for a strange book, and this book was strange. Villa incognito vibes

Very strange, a bit depressing, and
the body horror at the end literally made me sick!

This was delightful. I really enjoyed the slow turn into the sinister. The translation did a great job of conveying the mundane horror of society and work today. I'm still digesting the ending but Kim has a great imagination for metaphor.
