Had a great time!
There were some slow parts, but I didn’t mind because you could feel the intention behind the world building and relationship development.
Loved learning about allomancy. I thought the author did a great job of using fight scenes to show how the metals could be utilized.
Super excited to see where the series goes. Ready to start the next book!

A good first book. Once again, I’m struggling with the need to be emotionally damaged if it’s not the final book in a series. What’s wrong with me?! 🫣
It was a slow start with the world building but I got into it once Part 2 started. The magic is super cool, as expected. Lots of different creatures to keep up with. Thankfully they’re explained, even if my patience gets the best of me. I have to remember Vin is a 16 year old girl. Was definitely not expecting it to end how it did with two more books to go.
Kelsier gives me V for Vendetta vibes. The Lord Ruler gives me Palpatine vibes, especially audiobook voice.
I know I’m stuck on romantasy vibes when I reread a certain handkerchief scene 3 times.
I’d be content to not read the rest. But I’ve been heavily encouraged to, by many. So let’s strap in and bring on the Sanderlanche.
