What if everything inside you is shutting down due to a life challenge? How do you find your way out then?

Rating: 5 Stars as this is another experience book

I was blown away by Millionaire's Island book a few months ago, so when I got a chance to read another book by Priya Kumar, I ran for it literally lol.

This book was completely different from that one. I realised I have changed since I read that book. Before, it used to be like I would read a book, rate it based on the few things I pick up as highlights, but I have changed enough I have started delving deeper into how any book I am reading affects me perse rather than the other way around.

This book was an experience for me, period. I think every reader will have a different experience reading it, as it was written in a way personalised for you, not like a principle book you see nowadays. It felt easy slipping into to it too. And yes, you heard it right, it is an introspective book period.

I had a similar experience what Priya went through a year ago. It was earth shattering enough that I had to start many things from scratch. When I was reading this book, a few things came out, but I realised I have taken many steps forward in the same direction as Priya, healed enough thinking about it doesn't fill me up with rage anymore. I have come to a place of acceptance.

But still there is a long way to go. I have to keep at it, and it made me realise that I have more support than last time via bookish friends, I picked up this year and books obviously *wink*.

Book Recommendation - Hell Yeah

🔹 My take: 3.75/5

🔸 I am another You is about author’s spiritual journey she took decades back. It’s about her week spent at The Netherlands where she met fourth generation shamans and how her life transformed for better by taking their guidance and following years old proven rituals of shaman leaders. The shaman processes include physical cleansing along with spiritual awakening proving the age old adage ‘Healthy body leads to healthy mind’. At the end of her journey; she is not only confident but at peace with a lot of things boosting her well-being.

💖 Wows - This is my 2nd read of Priya Kumar and I love her writing style. Her books are written in a lucid manner and the texts are not preachy even though they are non fiction. While Kumar learnt lot many rituals but this book jots down 5 most important rituals that she undertook during her spiritual expedition with shamans. She has shared snippets of the ritual, the logic behind performing them, the emotional turbulence she felt while doing them and the support she got from her teachers when she faced any dilemma. At the end of each chapter; synopsis is shared in small bullets which I loved the most. I have highlighted so many parts that I would refer at intervals to enjoy this book again.

💔 Ows - This is a very quick read and the chapters are concise. I found the book so interesting that while learning about rituals; I got curious and wanted more detailed explanation to have deeper understanding of shamans way of life. It would have been great to know more about leaders and how they reached to the pedestal and their struggles.

💫  Priya Kumar is an internationally acclaimed motivational speaker and author of inspirational books. She is an Indian and has won 44 prestigious awards for her books. This is a great motivational read about how she faced dejection at a point in her life and how she helped herself to come out of it and regained control of her destiny. ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨💫

Freedom is never found in extremes, its always found in balance

This book definitely stirred something in me. Starting with the end and ending with the beginning, it follows the authors spiritual journey in Netherlands

Every activity that she is made to do, gives her a larger insight and ends up teaching her something that not just she but we can also cherish

Even the most simplest of challenges have such a depth of a meaning in them.

I absolutely loved how the author has taken us along her journey and given us lessons after each such challenge.

She gets doubts like we all would about whether spirituality is the opposite of materialism but her guru answers them all for her, for us rather.

This was my first book in this type of a spiritual genre and I must admit I was completely blown away.

The title is completely justified, I am Another You simply asks us to accept the fact that all of us go through a journey of ups and downs, there is no point in treating another person differently since we all are the same.

Everyone has a purpose in life, and when it's time, you will discover it. Through the pages of 'I Am Another You', Priya Kumar takes us along on a spiritual journey of self-realisation, of understanding our true selves. When life has beaten down her spirit, she takes on a journey to the Netherlands to discover spirituality through the rituals of the Shamans. But the path of spirituality doesn't come easy. Will she get what she desires?

This motivational non-fiction opened a new world to me. I have always believed that I'm drawn to books at a time I need them the most, and this was one such book. It wasn't a normal self-help, do-this-do-that kind of book. This book truly made us walk the path with the author. Through her words, I undertook the journey. The rituals seemed old but true. Sometimes bizarre but so meaningful. Each chapter had a lesson to it, each ritual had a significance. If anything I'm thankful I read it. The writing is crisp and lucid. I felt myself getting emotional at certain points. One might question why to go to the Netherlands when we live in the land of spirituality, India; but maybe everyone leads their own paths.

I have no complaints about this book. It served its purpose. It taught me spirituality, the need for positivity and to enjoy the flow of life.

I truly recommend this book. Go with the flow. Even if you do not believe in whatever the author said, you can get a lot from the lessons imparted. It had a fictional touch to it which made it super interesting.

I am another you by Priya Kumar is a non-fiction book about the spiritual journey taken by the author in the lands of Netherlands to awaken the self. The book consists of the author's experience related to the rituals performed during her stay with shamans and how the teachings from these rituals shaped her life.
This book consists of many lessons and truth about life and our perspective towards it. The book truly contains the power to lead you and change your attitude towards life. Among all the chapters from the book, the spiritual walk was my favourite one. It made me realise the true meaning of an apology and how to face the darkness in our life. Every chapter of the book ends with important lessons that the author discovered during these rituals.
I loved this story of self-discovery and it helped me a lot in understanding various life principles for a happy life. I highly recommend this book to people who likes to read spiritual and selp help books

Review: This is soul rejuvenation, spiritual uplifting book by the author she share her experience of spiritual rejuvenation and mental stress reduction and life changing experience, before the trip she is shy, introvert, sympathy asker, stressed , heart broken, caged in her own thoughts and thinking. After the Netherlands learning we see the transformation every ritual helped her to overcome her shyness, we have to face someone shit in some time of life, freedom from past and stress, freedom of spirit that is caged, a walk with master to give up fear of darkness, walk on fire to rejuvenate herself and the one who believe in her, ritual of self master there is no master without seeker, and materialism and spiritual go hand in hand as to maintain balance in the world One must understand it , spiritual enlightenment is not to free from the materialistic needs but to stop caging yourself because of stress .

This is a inspirational book which covers various aspects of life like success , failure, peace, goals of life and many more.
In this book the author has written her experience of visiting Netherlands. She decides to visit Netherlands for introspection and has written all about the journey and what she learnt. Each chapter has different rituals. The writing style is very engaging and interesting. Book can be finished in one sitting.
The only thing I didn't like about this book is that I felt that the author is advertising about her lectures a bit much, with which the main attraction goes to that more than the lessons.
