Intense plot with concerning issues and also deals with social views on stereotypes and gossip mainly in teenagers that can be called bullying. I really liked this book because it's not your typical boy-meets-girl, and they fall in love. Colleen Hoover brings out realistic problems for the main characters and how complicated real life is, even though this is fiction. I recommend this book and I'm sure I will re-read it again soon.
Ich habe wirklich eine ganze Weile gebraucht, um in die Geschichte einzutauchen. Die Charaktere waren anfangs so weird und ihre Handlungen so schräg, dass ich überlwgt habe, das Buch abzubrechen.
Ab Seite 100 oder so wurde es besser und ich begann zu verstehen, um was sich diese Story dreht. Und diese Themen sind absolut wichtig und wurden meiner Meinung nach auch ganz gut behandelt. Ich nenne sie erst zuunterst, um Spoiler zu vermeiden.
Etwas möchte ich hier aber anmerken; egal welche Art von Trauma - mit einmal drüber reden ist das nicht abgehandelt und weg. Das fand ich dann doch etwas sehr naiv und unrealistisch, weshalb ich auch mit dem Ende nicht so zufrieden war. Zudem schienen sich die Ereignisse manchmal geradezu perfekt aneinander zu reihen, was mich etwas aus dem Lesefluss riss.
Ich würde das Buch nicht wirklich weiterempfehlen, da ich der Meinung bin es gibt bessere Stories, die dieselben Themen behandeln.

I really loved the relationship in this book, Dean Holder is what I wish for in a relationship, he's supportive, understanding, and listens. Sky on the other hand is a interesting character I understand the traumatic events that she went through but I don't understand her coping skills like always slapping Holder?. Anyways besides the character development part of the book the plot was great it made me wanna keep reading and was mysterious.
*sigh* Now that was an amazingly great read. Full of laugh out loud moments paired with swoon worthy romance and a serious issue at heart, Hopeless has easily made my favorites list.
Right off the bat I instantly connected with Skye. The interactions between her and her two best friends really brought out the fun in the book. The interactions between Skye and Holder gave me hot flashes.
The romance was heart stopping, the friendship heartwarming, and the mystery surrounding Sky's past suspense worthy.
Hopeless was a delicious read that kept me enthralled, there was no putting the book down. If everything she writes is this good, I have a feeling I will be going on a Colleen Hoover book spree.

I'm not even sure what to write here. if you're reading my review to decide whether or not to read this book, you should. there were times when I was worried it was too much, but it was worth it. well written, well timed, and well thought out. plus Holder is just beyond dreamy :-)
I don't know how many times I've cried over this book. It's just absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I bet they have a copy of this book at Heaven, where all the glorious things belong.
The first CoHo book that absolutely hated. The relationship is so unrealistic and it circled around the same conversations over and over. I more-so skimmed the last 30% because I was so over it.
Literally so fucking good oh my god. Some things were slightly predictable but idk if that was just me. I became so attached to the characters and the book left me in shock. Read it immediately.
