Like most short story collections, the ideal would be to pick up every now and then rather than reading cover to cover on a library timeline. Enjoyed it nonetheless!

Winterson is consistently a great writer, with prose that is alluring.  Though the stories are standalone narratives (other than two), the experiences of the characters represent our cultural anxiety with the concept of believing in ghosts and things that go bump in the night.
