I have been a long time fan of Sheridan Anne. Each new series or book of hers I read, I just fall more and more in love with her work. This book though— this book is undoubtedly my favorite of hers thus far.

Midnight Stage has all the feels you could possibly ever feel. I cried, I laughed, I squealed, I raged. I was honestly so emotionally exhausted after reading this but in such a good way. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a book that really had me so emotionally invested as this book. My favorite thing is that it wasn’t a dark romance in the sense it’s normally used. The trauma experienced in the book makes it dark…there’s a lot of overwhelming feelings that could make it dark…but I loved the unique take on this in that the relationship between the FMC and MMC wasn’t dark, they just had some hurt to repair.

Seriously, I can never praise Sheridan enough in how brilliant, talented, and absolutely amazing she is as an author.

Amazing!

Omg this book had me going through a roller coaster of emotions. Starting with watching this poor Raleigh live under her brother and his bands shadow . Or so I thought as I delved deeper there were so many twisted things that happened to her in her early years. Then a love that for sure deserved a second chance and then before all of that I was gutted I literally had tears. This book definitely has dark elements and it is beautifully written and will keep you stuck with your nose in it until the end. Just amazing !

Oof. THE FEELS. I was not expecting this book to be so sad. It was absolutely brimming with EMOTION. Definitely heed the trigger warnings, my friends, because this is not an easy read.

Love hurts

I love a good rockstar romance and this ticks all the boxes.
It’s packed full of angst and heartbreak and I guarantee it will have you reaching for the issues. Definitely read the trigger warnings tho.
Our FMC Rae, certainly gets put thru the wringer here, I cried for her so much but she’s a tough cookie and a real survivor lEzra is definitely worth the wait tho, so hot, love the spice.
Loved this book and will definitely read again.

This was such a great story, my heart really went out to Raleigh and Ezra so much. It was really well written and flowed really nicely even the flashbacks didn’t feel forced. It handled very sensitive topics very well I feel. I’m happy for the ending for them and glad they ended up where they should have been all along and for the happy ending for the other band mates as well. All in all a wonderful read!

Most of the book is a good build up/ interesting, but goodness the love story is insufferable. The MMC leaves the love of his life, somehow she’s the only one for him yet he fucks anything with a pulse as much as possible? Gtfo. And the damaged FMC who has unresolved trauma/ is so in love for the MMC to have any love besides the guy who left her… for years? Infuriating. Especially infuriating because the MMC kept saying she was his other half, yet he couldn’t help sticking his dick in everything? Wish that had been done differently because I would’ve loved this book more, instead, I wish I didn’t finish it.
