I like the heroine, Chris Bennett. I like her love interest, Det Sgt Jack Brooks. I'll keep reading this series.

Audiobook (All of my entries on The Story Graph are audiobooks.)
#2 in series  (I started reading this series in January 2023.)
Will I read other installments?     Probably Not             Maybe              Definitely
Comparison to others in series:     Not as good           About the same           Better
The second in a series is seldom as good as the first, so it is no surprise I marked this as not as good. It was a decent story though. I like the development of Christine's character, but
maybe she jumped into bed with her man too soon.

The narrator was Dee Macaluso. I still think Ms. Macaluso is a good voice for Christine, but it sounded like Ms. Macaluso had a stuffy nose for most of the book. I hope the next reading is better.
