Oh, I loved this book so much! All the characters were lovable, and the world building was so deep and layered. I think it's destined to be one of my all-time favorites.

Great sci fi asks big questions, and this is no exception. What does it mean to be a person? How do people shape their environment? Newitz explores these question great effect in this surprisingly concise epic. Told across three generations, the story is both vast in scale and intimately detailed.
