It took me very long to get into it, but now I miss the world... It was really worth it. I had been expecting a tense thriller like novel so I guess that is partly why I had trouble getting into it. But it's this very meandering and philosphical novel about sentience and activism etc. It's really beautifully written.

I liked the world building but found the characters really shallow and hard to connect with.
Started so well, and had a really cool concept. But the dialogue was wooden, the character development undercooked, and there were some weird relationships between characters that felt irrelevant to the plot.

Interesting premise. I liked how the three parts interwove the characters over centuries.
I may pick this one back up because I am intrigued by the premise but for now there are just way too many talking animals for me omg
