I loved the setting but I wish the main male character's tragedy was explained deeper. When it was compared to what happened to the female lead, it didn't sound even near

I came into this book expecting something completely different and didn’t enjoy how the story was playing out.

"Thank You For Listening" by Julia Whelan intrigued me because it was narrated by the author herself. A book about audiobook narrators should be listened to, right? I'm so happy I did—Whelan brought so much life to her words in the narration.
The story had me laughing out loud at times. The very meta plot was so engaging to listen to. I loved Sewanee and found myself empathizing with her lows and rooting for her wins.
The banter between Sewanee and Brock was fantastic. One of the best parts of their latest narration project was their correspondence and banter. I especially appreciated the insight of the world and methods of audiobook narrators. Getting a behind-the-scenes look increased my respect for narrators.
The general plot was really entertaining, but I won't give anything away by talking about it in detail. Just be aware that this one is going to be quite the journey. I strongly suggest listening to this book!
