This book was okay. I found each of the disparate parts of this book interesting - the family drama, the professional struggle, the past trauma, the romance. But ultimately, I think there was perhaps one plot line too many going on here. Each of the individual elements felt like they had high enough stakes to carry the plot, so it felt kind of odd to drop one of the threads for too long before picking it up again.
I was pretty interested in the audiobook performance angle of this. If the book had to be so incredibly meta about romance novels, this was at least a fun way to do it. Ultimately, this was a good time but I wish it had been a little more focused on fleshing out one or two plots instead of trying to cram in so much.

I couldn't put this one down, it was so good. Got some of my favorite tropes- a whole You've Got Mail premise without the enemies part. I loved Swan's rich personal life. I didn't even mind that it was a mostly closed door romance, it was like a cracked door? Nothing explicit though.

Such a fun romance with AMAZING narration. HIGHLY recommend listening to this book. An interesting look at the industry with a great plot and funny banter.
