this play is one long prolonged, slowly getting louder 'nooooo!' and honestly that's what true tragedy should be.

I read the play in conjunction with the audio recording  available on Spotify which I highly recommend! The characters are complicated and unique and you genuinely understand the conflict that insights the drama of the play. This is a more palateble piece of theatre from Miller, compared to the 'The Crucible' and is easier to digest but has a similar heart-wrenching ending. Overall, would suggest this as a first read of Arthur Miller's work!
