3.75 rounded up. I adored so much about this book (1) the pacing was great (2) the author really sold the love story to me and I was eating it up (3) I particularly enjoyed reading from Kai's perspective and (4) so much drama!
A couple of things kept this from being a GREAT read for me though. (1) This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I felt like there were just too many s*x scenes for my liking. It got to a point where I felt like it was taking me out of the story because it just felt like a bit much or it wasn't really appropriate in those moments. Sometimes, just a kiss and talking would have sufficed and actually done even more for me to drive the romance forward. (2) Some of the stuff the main characters were dealing with felt a bit repetitive to read about. Like you'll read about their past experiences, and then read their thoughts about their past experiences, and then read them telling their partner about their past experiences. I just felt like I was reading the same thing a few times over.
But overall, this was an enjoyable read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love Holly, Kai and Mano. I like how it depicted the complicated family dynamic when siblings get different versions of the same parents. I love the banter. I love the plot twists. This book was a cute Christmas movie but with actual depth to it. 

The only thing that made me take of a few points is that I think Kai fell maybe a tad too quickly. But the main thing is that I wish we saw more between holly and her ex bf and bff. We saw how Kai’s past came tumbling in and how it affected him and Holly’s relationship. I just wish we somewhat saw that on Holly’s part. 

But overall, very good Christmas book. Definitely pleased.
