this is a super cute & funny rom com, i loved all the characters and the concept. Gave it a 3.5 because there were a lot of errors in the writing like spelling a characters name wrong. but overall i enjoyed it!!

Between a high 3/low 4. This one took me on a rollercoaster of emotion, from being genuinely happy over their romance to being frustrated about the last quarter and all the miscommunication.
The spice and romance was there. I laughed and enjoyed so many moments from this book. Mano was my favorite along with Kai. It did feel a bit jam packed at the end with the author making them get engaged and then preggo in the epilogue. This would’ve been better off ending with the football game and his proposal there or something. Idk. However, I liked more of the book than the parts I didn’t like.
Would recommend for a holiday read.

cute holiday-ish book about dating and heartbreak
I’m not sure if it was just my mood or something, but I mostly just found this book a bit of a downer (even though it’s a HEA) and I struggled to get into it after the shocking/ devastating prologue… I was happy they both found love and one another and I know there was lots of happy moments in the book, but I just really struggled to get over how intensely both of them have been betrayed, and I think with the tough year I’ve had I need books to be a bit more “escape” than this was unfortunately.
Also ZERO idea how Holly was able to even think about starting to date so soon. I’d be a M-E-S-S for a loooong time.
Best part handsdown was the cat named GRANDMA! I now aspire to own a cat and name it grandma.

I'm currently dying of covid and needed something sweet and this? Hit the spot perfectly. It's a little more tell than show at points but it didn't really affect my enjoyment of the book at all! Holly is such a sweet FMC and Kai was genuinely really lovely. Side characters were great too and I laughed out loud at points. Short, sweet and simple, all that's really needed for a good holiday romance!
