My Thoughts On: Hawkeye #7

1. Who were the people fighting Kate? Why did they leave a gift? Why not just kill Kate if they are after her? So many questions...

2. Child Kate Bishop is absolutely adorable, and now I want to learn more about her mother. We've heard very little about her so far, and clearly she loved her daughter. What happened to Mrs. Bishop? Does it have to do with Kate's dad?

3. I love how Lucky is basically the shared dog of the Hawkeyes. Also, Clint's number is in Kate's files as the "Awkguyhay"? Beautiful, just beautiful.

4. Detective Rivera gets some serious character development here, being worried about Kate and knowing something is wrong because Kate isn't being her usual sassy self. Just the fact she didn't protest doing a favor for Kate is a shift from her appearances in previous issues.

5. One of the things I love most in life is Kate Bishop sassing old white men and then knocking them out with a specialty arrow because she has things to take care of.

6. Preteen Kate Bishop is also a complete gem. It's good to know her archery habit originates from summer camp. This flashback also brings up some questions. What is Mrs. Bishop so afraid of? Why does she want to take Kate away? Why is Mr. Bishop such an asshole? What's going on here?

7. I also live to see Kate Bishop taking down thugs in suits with her arrows and ninja skills while making witty quips.

8. Kate trying to find her mother's necklace after her death is the most heartbreaking thing, and the fact that not being able to find it points to something shady makes Mr. Bishop look even more like a jerk.

9. Here's my favorite Kate line: "C'mon, what is it, my first day super-heroing?"

10.
OH MY GOD, MADAME MASQUE IS A FRONT FOR DEREK BISHOP, AND HE LURED KATE HERE AND OH MY GOD.
I have so many questions, and I can't wait to read the next issue and see what unfolds.
